Currently residing in the quiet corners of sunny East Gippsland, Victoria. A blend of archaeologist, artist, and diver, wandering the landscapes where history meets the sea.

Amidst the ancient ruins and the waves, I've carried my sketchbook and watercolours across the world, trying to capture moments under the Middle Eastern sun and the Aussie summer. As my excavations and journeys unfolded, so did my art, transitioning from watercolours and an ink pen to oil paint, constantly inspired by the rugged coastal cliffs, ancient ruins and pottery from the Bronze and Iron Ages. The transition to oil plein air painting in the early months of 2023 marked a profound shift in my artistic expression, it came naturally, and quite honestly took over my life.

In summer, I swim and dive, trying to take in the beauty of the Great Southern Ocean. My undying appreciation and awe of the sea is reflected in my maritime-inspired works.

I have artwork in international research institutes in the Middle East and a variety drawings and illustrations published in academic journals and manuscripts.

Always eager to explore new horizons, please reach out for commissions or inquiries regarding archaeological illustration and fine art pieces.

Warmest regards,

Maddi
